Lights, camera, celebrate! PHC Long Service Recognition events start in April
Submitted by Rick Moyneur , Director, Human Resources
Planning for our annual Long Service Recognition Awards is underway as we prepare to celebrate our dedicated staff, medical staff and volunteers who reached a service milestone in 2017 with site recognition events starting in April! This year, we are very fortunate to recognize an incredible 1,082 staff, 74 physicians and 64 volunteers on their contribution to the organization.
No RSVP to site events required!
Come one, come all! New this year, staff being recognized do not need to RSVP to site specific celebrations – all are welcome to attend! For the full schedule of recognition events, please click here.
Have you checked your work email?
As part of our effort to reduce paper usage, long service awards packages, including the long service recognition letter, site events schedule, Q&A and instructions on how to order a gift (for staff who reached a 10+ year milestone), were sent to this year’s recipients by email to their PHC work email on March 2.
If you are one of our long service recipients and did not receive an email with your long service package, please email LongServiceAwards@providencehealth.bc.ca by March 22 so we can ensure you are an eligible recipient and that we have your correct work email address.
Put on your party shoes!
On June 1, we’re rolling out the red carpet at our annual gala dinner happening again this year at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre for the 233 staff celebrating 25+ years with us! Staff who are planning to attend the gala must RSVP through Eventbrite – event details and instructions on how to RSVP will be included with the gala dinner invitation that will be mailed out next month.
