A message from Fiona:
The BC provincial government has proclaimed this week – May 23-29 – as Anti-Racism Awareness Week. Providence Health Care and the Medical Staff Association (MSA) join the government and our health care partners in denouncing all acts of racism.
Last fall, more than 850 Providence staff and medical staff took part in our first Pulse Check Survey, which was designed to check how everyone who works at Providence is feeling about their work environment, and the care we provide. As we prepare to launch the next Pulse Check, I want to thank all of you who took the time to share your feedback with me.
This annual award recognizes a scientist in our organization who demonstrates the mission and values of Providence Health Care while conducting outstanding research.
The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed how we all live and work. It’s also changed how we do science. At Providence Health Care, our research community has been faced with shuttered labs and offices, financial uncertainty, and a rapid shift to virtual research environments.
In this Q&A series, we’re asking PHC researchers and research staff to reflect on their experience over the past few months and share how they’re adapting to the new world we live in.
Has COVID-19 and work from home life changed your workday? Are you working from home most days? Do you have a PHC issued laptop? If you answered yes, Citrix Gateway VPN might be the right solution for you.
*If you do not have an HA issued laptop please see the available options for working remotely.
After what seemed like a long delay due to CoVID 19, the Medicine, Older Adult & Palliative Program were able to announce the recipients of the 2020 Unsung Hero Award on the morning of September 29th in Lecture Theatre 1500 and via Zoom.
