Mar 16, 2017 | News

The Dialysis Art Cart project, a program that brings creative projects to patients undergoing, won first place in the Experience of Care category at the Quality Forum this past weekend.

Dialysis is a lengthy and tedious treatment and can lead to depression, sleeplessness, boredom and even pain. Art Cart aims to relieve this by rolling into the unit twice a week to provide patients with a creative outlet for stress relief.

The project receives funding from the St. Paul’s Foundation and help from student volunteers from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design.

Congrats to Michelle Trask and Karl Newholm on their win at the Quality Forum!
