Bringing Awareness to COPD
Submitted by Kasia Celler, grants facilitator, Centre for Heart Lung Innovation
November 15 was World COPD Day. 3.7 million Canadians are affected by this debilitating lung disease each year. COPD is incurable, but it can be managed and treated if detected early. Researchers at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation at St. Paul’s Hospital are focused on finding better treatment for patients, to give them a better shot at living a normal life.
