CST Assessment Survey

Jun 28, 2018 | News

With the incredible help from all those involved, the CST Assessment team was able to make 110+ visits to clinical areas in one week. We have collected over 1,100 responses to the CST Assessment Survey - thank you! There is still time to have your voice heard in the planning for CST.

Reminder: the survey officially closes on Tuesday, July 3. Please ensure you respond and encourage your colleagues to participate online:

A summary of the results will be distributed as soon as they are tabulated.

We are grateful of your participation in this important and continuing initiative.

Everyone at Providence will play a critical role in the success of CST.  If you have any questions, please send to: PHC-CST@providencehealth.bc.ca.

CST Assessment Survey

The CST project is a critical area of focus for Providence Health Care. Building on the recent successful go-live at Lion’s Gate and Squamish, Providence is entering the next phase of planning for our CST implementation in 2019, and need your assistance to ensure everyone receives the supports required to be ready for this important change.

A key first step in our planning is to do a baseline assessment of CST awareness/knowledge among our staff, medical staff and providers.

We have developed a short 5-10 minute survey to help us with that and are asking all of you to fill it out.

Please note, if you are having trouble accessing the survey via Internet Explorer, we suggest using Chrome instead, thank you.

The survey is open from June 18 to July 3. Your answers will not be linked to your name. The results will only be reported in groups (i.e. role, program, location).

Through this survey, we want to know:

  • What you know about the project.
  • What your communications needs are/will be.
  • What you need in order to be ready for the change.
  • How best to provide you with information as we go forward with our implementation plan, etc.

In addition to distributing via this email, the survey will also be supported by members of Providence’s CST-project team visiting (and bringing along computers) St. Paul’s, Mount Saint Joseph and Holy Family clinical/program areas and units from the period of June 17 to 25 so staff and providers can fill out the survey at their convenience. Please look for posters in your area that your Patient Care Manager has filled out with the exact dates and times of these visits.

Other future assessment activities will include one-on-one meetings and focus groups, and a process coordinated through Department Heads for providers.

Everyone at Providence will play a critical role in the success of CST. We are grateful of your participation in enabling this to occur, so we can comprehensively identify the communications and readiness needs of our leaders, our staff and medical staff.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send to: PHC-CST@providencehealth.bc.ca.

Thank you again for your continued commitment and excellence in providing compassionate care to our patients, residents and clients.
