Kathryn Young Appointed Board Chair of St. Paul’s Foundation

St. Paul’s Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathryn Young to Board Chair. Young assumed Chair responsibilities on January 24, 2017 after serving as Vice-Chair for two and a half years, and as Director since 2010. In her role as Vice-Chair, Young provided leadership and direction to St. Paul’s Foundation’s campaigns, nominations, communications and special events committees.

“As Vice-Chair Kathryn has worked closely with me over the last number of years in a leadership capacity,” says Dick Vollet, President & CEO, St. Paul’s Foundation. “She is a passionate and tireless advocate for the Foundation and will provide solid leadership to the board going forward. Kathryn is committed to St. Paul’s Foundation’s work in helping our hospital deliver exceptional, compassionate care to patients from across BC, and supporting the world-leading research conducted within its walls.”

Young is a Partner at Boyden Vancouver and a nationally recognized leader in executive recruiting. As an active member of the global social impact practice group, Kathryn has also worked with leaders in a variety of complex multi-stakeholder organizations.

Kathryn most recently Chaired United Way of the Lower Mainland’s 2015/2016 campaign and sits as a member of the United Way Board of Directors. With the new St. Paul’s on the horizon, Young’s fundraising campaign experience will serve St. Paul’s Foundation well.
