The Lights of Hope Cookie Kick-Off returns! Baking your day better and raising dough for St. Paul’s greatest needs
Submitted by Remi Johnson, Communications Officer, St. Paul's Foundation
Officially starting the annual Lights of Hope campaign, St Paul’s “Cookie Kick-Off” will roll out on September 26th, continuing until the first week in October.
Foundation staff will spend the day visiting hospital departments to tempt and tantalize with cookies donated by Anna’s Cake House and hope that, in return, donations will be made. This is the one day of the year that hospital staff are encouraged to ignore calorie counts — for a great cause: greatest needs at St. Paul's.
Over the past 21 years, Lights of Hope has raised more than $34 million, providing much needed funding to purchase urgently needed equipment, support world-class research and teaching and enhance patient care.
In addition to department visits at St Paul’s Hospital, volunteers will be delivering cookies at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital and the Foundation’s Seniors and Residential Care sites in the first week of October. Lights of Hope donations directly support sites and programs across Providence Health Care.
Staff are encouraged to bring an appetite — and please be as generous as you can!
To make your donation to Lights of Hope, visit the Lights of Hope website or contact Sara Cruikshank at 604-806-9646.
Another easy way to get your team and colleagues involved in Lights of Hope is to create a team fundraising page. Set a collective team fundraising goal and track your efforts online – why not aim for $5,000 to have a bronze star highlighting your team/department name added to the Lights of Hope display?
Please contact Amanda Oldershaw at firstname.lastname@example.org to have a team page set up.
