Providence Angels at Every Site

At Christmas, we’ve often thought of Providence Health Care staff as angels who watch over patients and residents. Now we have proof!

In celebration of the annual Angel Campaign, Tapestry Foundation for Health Care staff has been touring Providence sites for the past three weeks with a Angel Photo Booth to capture PHC angels in the moment.

“The photo booth is something we felt would pull PHC staff together in the spirit of Christmas and giving,” said Foundation CEO Ann Adams. “It’s brought a lot of smiles, laughs, and camaraderie to the season for staff, who are among our strongest and most passionate supporters when it comes improving care for patients and residents.”

Many long-time PHC staff will recall when the Angel Campaign began at St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1989, and the signature angel mounted on the hospital roof to herald the season. Since those early days, the Angel Campaign has raised close to $3 million to support Providence sites. “A little goes a very long way when it comes to donating,” said Adams. “During the Angel Campaign, we ask those in our closest circle to give what they can, and experience the difference their contributions make in the lives of the people they care for everyday.”

Tapestry Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to staff that have already made Angel Campaign donations for 2015, and reminds others that there’s still time to be an “angel” and donate. Donations can be made online at www.tapestryfoundation.ca, or by phone at 604.806.9480.

“Our work is rewarded by caring donors,” said Adams. “And that includes Providence staff who donate and/or give of time, talent and energy to support our work. It’s a heartfelt commitment. We could not do without Providence angels and all that they do for us.”

The deadline to contribute to Tapestry Foundation and receive a tax receipt for the 2015 year is December 31, 2015.
