Season's greetings from Minister Terry Lake

Dec 17, 2015 | News

With another year almost at a close, I would like to take a moment to thank each of you for the invaluable work you do everyday to improve our system of health care.

I spoke to many of you this past year about government's vision for the future of B.C.'s health-care system. We are focusing on the needs of patients and ensuring integrated, accessible, effective services to support their health and well-being.

Many of you also had the chance to participate in discussions with the ministry on the proposed strategic actions to make this shift possible. Through these conversations, we all recognize the complexity of our health-care system and the need for us to work together as we move forward.

With further collaboration, I have no doubt our efforts will lead to meaningful and lasting benefits for all British Columbians.

I extend my best wishes for the holiday season, and hope you all have a chance to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. I wish you a happy and healthy 2016.

Sincerely,

Terry Lake

Health Minister
