A message from Fiona:
The BC provincial government has proclaimed this week – May 23-29 – as Anti-Racism Awareness Week. Providence Health Care and the Medical Staff Association (MSA) join the government and our health care partners in denouncing all acts of racism.
Following the news of an outbreak of COVID-19 at Holy Family Hospital (HFH) on June 9, we put out a call to the wider Providence family on Saturday, June 13. The ask? Help your colleagues in long-term care at HFH to ensure we can continue to provide the best possible care and attention to our vulnerable residents.
Earlier this year, a review of People Staffing at Providence provided some recommendations to enhance our staffing service delivery model. However, factors like CST and COVID-19 have impacted our work and projects dedicated to improving this essential services.
Providence Health Care is recognized as one of BC’s Top Employers. Selected by the editors at Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition, this award is a special designation bestowed on British Columbia employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
